This past Saturday, I met at Tuttle's Select Cigars with a small gathering of friends and family for what will surely be the last time I see them in person for a long time. As I noted in a past entry here, I am moving from Michigan to Colorado on April 12, 2007. We had an opportunity to enjoy some very nice celebratory cigars and great conversation for about 2 1/2 hours.

From the left is a friend, Scott S., one of my brothers, Louis, my daughter Liz, who is studying for her Masters at Michigan State University, and another brother, Dwight. In the pic below you see my daughter, Liz again, Scott's son, Nick, and my brother Dwight. Nick is on two week leave from the US Navy, currently deployed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Scott, Nick and Liz each enjoyed a Macanudo Gold Label, while Louis selected a very nice Ashton Classic. Dwight and I choose for this occasion one of my favorites, the Perdomo Reserve Maduro.
These are some of my favorite people... I'm gonna miss them. Farewell for now, and know that you'll be in my thoughts.
